Starting at 3PM, at the Waldo Library (both rooms A & B) our
Membership Meeting will begin with an in-depth explanation and
discussion of the Health Reform Bill of 2010. Alice Kitchen will have a
9-minute video and add to our understanding of the bill in such
instances as: protection of seniors in nursing homes; access to home
and community based services for the disabled; help for moderate
income families; and the strengthening and protection of Medicare and
Medicaid.
For the second year in a row, GreatNonprofits has ranked AAUW as a
top-rated women's empowerment organization. AAUW received this
honor because of the many stories women have written about the
incredible ways AAUW directly benefits their lives. It's never too late to
share your story.
